A.M.S. Tugs & Barges is pleased to announce another contract awardment to supply one of our highly spec’d barges - A.M.S. GLADSTONE for a project in Brisbane, QLD. The vessel will assist in the rebuilding work of New Farm Riverwalk, one of Brisbane City Council’s key river connections between New Farm and the Brisbane City Centre.
Since delivery in 2012, both of our highly spec’d barges— A.M.S. GLADSTONE and A.M.S. 1803 have been on a long term commitment with the same client, and have successfully assisted in three of their major projects in the Eastern State - Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG), Gladstone LNG (GLNG) and the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project. With the confirmation by the client for the Brisbane Riverwalk Project, this would make the fourth major project involvement for A.M.S. GLADSTONE.
A.M.S. 1803 – 180ft Deck Cargo Ballast Tank Barge and A.M.S. GLADSTONE – 210ft Deck Cargo Ballast Tank Spud Barge have a deck load of 20T/m2 and 25T/m2 respectively. The barges were designed, constructed, and delivered according to Client’s specific requirements and were both constructed well under the standard construction timeframe at no expense to the quality and finishing. The workmanship was praised when these barges were delivered to Queensland to participate in its first major project in early 2012.
The success and partnership with the client has proven to be yet another achievement for A.M.S. Tugs & barges and has also further strengthened its marine presence in the Eastern region of Australia.
A.M.S. Tugs & Barges strives to continuously improve its offering and in ensuring that all client vessel requirements are presented with solutions that are both feasible in terms of cost and operational efficiency while also taking into consideration the priorities and constraints of specific projects. With the current market improving and gaining momentum, A.M.S. Tugs & Barges endeavours to cater to meet the growing demand of the market with its high specification vessels.
