The A.M.S. Tugs & Barges operations team have recently completed a planned inspection on our new-build tug, A.M.S. AUSTRALIA, and she is on track for delivery for the end of 2016.
Construction of our new-build 34m 3200bhp Offshore Support Vessel / Anchor Handling Tug, A.M.S. AUSTRALIA, is really taking shape and progressing as scheduled. The MPUV tug will be Bureau Veritas classed for unrestricted service, and her specifications include a 40T bollard pull, double drum "waterfall" style main towing winch, tugger winch, shark jaws, tow pins, stern roller, heavy duty aft deck crane, bow thruster, and large timber sheathed deck area. She is equipped with a FiFi set, fuel transfer system, rescue boat and davit, accommodation for 11 persons, and will raise the bar to be the most versatile multi-purpose vessel in our tug and workboat fleet.
A.M.S. Australia is designed and being built to meet and/or exceed ISO, SOLAS and MARPOL regulations, and will comply with all AMSA and other local requirements and regulations.
